The first weekend I spent in classes learning Reiki, I was fascinated to learn that Reiki could be sent and used regardless of distance limitations! Reiki can link a practitioner to a client from anywhere in the world to do the same energetic work as they would in an in-person session!
How would that even work?
All that surrounds us is a flow of energy. Everything in the universe is connected and related through energy.
Reiki is pure life force energy, and it can flow wherever it needs to, without limits of time and space. Like wireless data flows between cell phones, as long as a connection is made, the energy can flow.
What does that all mean for having a distance Reiki session? It means I can do a Reiki session for you wherever you are!
I love this type of session! It allows a level of clarity not usually experienced with in-person sessions. And the client doesn’t have to travel to me, and can enjoy the experience and benefits of Reiki from the comfort of their own space.
After receiving my first levels of Reiki training, I wanted to practice my new skills with family members who were interested in Reiki -but they live a day's drive away.
That was not a problem for Reiki!
I was able to begin right away, offering the full benefits of Reiki treatment to my family, and I was completely blown away at the results! I scheduled my first session with my sister. I planned to connect to her with distance Reiki, while she laid down and relaxed where she was at home. I worked with Reiki as though she was laying in front of me receiving the treatment. I took notes of what things came through in her session, and encouraged her to journal about her experience after I’d finished.
After we finished the session, I was able to compare notes with her.
What we’d written matched up perfectly.
We were both amazed, and I had a reassuring sense of confirmation: distance Reiki actually works.
So what do I do in a distance session? Every Reiki practitioner is going to have their own way of doing distance work.
I like to start with a phone call, so we can connect and discuss where you’re at energetically and maybe what things you’d like to have addressed in the session. You may not have a specific need, and that’s just fine too.
After we connect and chat, I’ll invite you to get comfy and relax where you are, and we’ll end the call and I will begin to work with Reiki.
Distance Reiki acts as a bridge of healing light. Once I connect with your energy through Reiki, I can begin to do the session as though you were in the room with me. With my eyes closed, I use my hands to scan your energy field and allow Reiki to guide the process. I keep a notebook handy so I can jot down quick notes of what’s coming up and things I notice during the session. This part takes around 30 minutes.
After I finish the Reiki treatment, I close off your energy field and seal it up with Reiki - allowing all the work we’ve done to be sealed up for maximum benefit.
I’ll then call you back so we can discuss what happened in the session and you can ask me questions about anything that came up. And that’s about it!
Since Reiki can be offered so easily from a distance, it allows me to reach more people and to offer much more treatment and care. The more I do it, the more I truly love the process, and I think you will too.
